Are you a skilled Structural Designer with expertise in offshore marine projectsMancon International is hiring for a Designer – Structure (Offshore) role to work with our prestigious client, Qatar Shipyard Technology Solutions, in Ras Laffan, Qatar.

🔍 About the Role

As a Structural Designer, you will play a key role in developing detailed engineering drawings for offshore structures, including jackets, topsides, and jack-up rigs. You’ll work under the guidance of a Senior Design Engineer, ensuring compliance with Class rules, safety standards, and project specifications.

✅ Key Responsibilities:

✔ Develop structural shop drawings, assembly plans, nesting plans, and weld maps for offshore projects.
✔ Create 3D models from Approved for Construction (AFC) drawings and generate fabrication-ready outputs.
✔ Conduct site surveys and prepare field modification proposals.
✔ Ensure zero rework by meticulously checking drawings before issuance.
✔ Collaborate with engineers and project teams to meet KPIs for quality and efficiency.

🎯 Who We’re Looking For:

✔ Education: ITI (Draftsman Trade) / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
✔ Experience:

  • 5+ years in offshore structural design (jackets, topsides, jack-up rigs).

  • Expertise in AutoCAD & TEKLA (Steel Detailing Software).

  • Strong knowledge of marine structural welding standards & Class rules.
    ✔ Skills:

  • Ability to interpret technical specifications & engineering drawings.

  • Strong problem-solving & analytical skills.

  • Excellent communication & teamwork abilities.
