Join our dynamic team at Qatar Shipyard Technology Solutions! We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrician to play a key role in maintaining our state-of-the-art facilities. This is a hands-on position where your expertise will ensure the optimal performance of our critical electrical systems.

About the Role:
As an Electrician in our Plant & Maintenance department, you will be responsible for the installation, repair, and upkeep of a diverse range of electrical equipment. Your day-to-day tasks will be vital to our operations, involving everything from complex machinery to essential power systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, maintain, and repair electrical plant equipment, including motors, generators, and switchboards.

Perform wiring tasks for both domestic and industrial applications.

Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical faults in heavy machinery such as cranes and pumps.

Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure system reliability and safety.

Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and P&IDs to execute work accurately.

Work on control systems and basic instrumentation.

Your Profile:
We are looking for a proactive individual with a strong electrical background. The ideal candidate will have:

Experience & Skills:

1-4 years of hands-on experience in electrical wiring, control systems, and maintenance.

A strong background in a shipyard, heavy industrial, or manufacturing environment is highly preferred.

Proven ability in motor and generator overhaul.

Excellent troubleshooting skills and a methodical approach to problem-solving.

Solid knowledge of power and control systems.

Familiarity with basic instrumentation (e.g., 4-20mA transmitters).

Qualifications:

Primary Education is required.

A relevant Trade Skill Certificate (e.g., ITI, NVQ) or equivalent proven experience in the field.
